This is some of what the Long Beach Area Peace Network does:

 

  • Organizes numerous actions for peace and against wa

  •  

  • Works to educate our high school youth at counter recruitment events and supports six high school peace clubs, whose aim is to end militarism in our schools.

  •  

  • Organizes special candlelight vigils at Bluff Par

  •  

  • Actively participates in the fight for fair wages and labor practices in solidarity with Building Healthy Communities, Long Beach. http://www.bhclongbeach.org/

 

  • Supports the following:  

  • Arlington West Memorial withVeterans for Peace at Huntington Beach Pier on the first Sunday of every month.

  •  

  • Opposes oil drilling in the Los Cerritos Wetlands 

  •  

  • Honors peace activists at our annual Peacemaker Awards ceremony.

  • ​

  • Works with progressive organizations like Black Lives Matter on reform of the Long Beach Police.
