History of the Long Beach Area Peace Network

The Long Beach Area Peace Network (LBAPN, pronounced "l'boppin") organizes for peace and social justice in the community. We  maintained a peace vigil during the never ending wars since September 2002.

We are heir to a long tradition of peace and justice activism in the Long Beach area. We re-organized in the Spring of 1999, in the wake of Clinton's bombing of Afghanistan and the Sudan, and in anticipation of the war in the Balkans. We are committed to creating awareness and showing commitment to peace at every level. We demand peace in our world, our streets, our schools, our homes, and our hearts. Violence is not the answer!

We meet every third Thursday of the month on ZOOM at 7:00 p.m. Everyone is welcome!
