This is some of what the Long Beach Area Peace Network does:

 

  • Organizes numerous actions against the war.

  •  

  • Organizes peace train events to downtown LA rallies on the Blue Line.

  •  

  • Works to educate our high school youth at counter recruitment events and supports six high school peace clubs, whose aim is to end militarism in our schools.

  •  

  • Organizes the weekly Friday night vigils on 2nd street in Belmont Shore- one of the longest running vigils in California.

  •  

  • Organizes special candlelight vigils at Bluff Park.

  •  

  • Participates in OLB beach clean ups at the Veterans Belmont Pier on the third Sunday of every month.

  •  

  • Actively participates in the fight for fair wages and labor practices in solidarity with Building Healthy Communities, Long Beach.

  • Arlington West Memorial withVeterans for Peace at Huntington Beach Pier on the first Sunday of every month.

  • The Teen Memorial near local high schools.
